  1. ha ha reel funny naming a picture after a movie/book. the top image I assume is a group trying to watch TV while each is doing there own thing while the second image is multiple people trying to find something to eat before the others eat everything. the images are good but the kitchen pic may be missing shadows of the people like the one poring cereal. but over all you got the basic goal down and show two good idea about your self.

  2. 1. Both of the images meet the criteria, nice work.

    2. In the Basic cable sucks anyway photo, I think the artist is trying to portray his expression when the tv is not working. I'm sure we can all relate considering we live in a highly technological society. When the tv doesn't work, we freak out. In the hunger games photo (nice title by the way), the artist is trying to portray what he'd be doing when he's bored looking for something to eat.

    3. There are no technical issues that bother me.

    4. The one I think is the best one would have to be the cable sucks anyways photo, because the facial expressions are goofy and made me laugh. It's of course the face I would make when my tv isn't working. The self on the phone really relates to me because I'm on my phone a lot, and when something isn't working, I whip out my phone to pass the time.

Have a happy Thanksgiving and break (:

  3. 1. Both of these images meet the requirements for the assignment -- 2 images, 4 selves. And it looks like they might show two scenes that could play out pretty often in a lot of households.

    2. In the first photo, "Basic Cable Sucks Anyway," I think you're trying to convey that bewilderment and frustration so many feel when the TV goes out. I hope it doesn't happen to you that often! But your expressions are fantastic! The figure that's on the end texting is a good contrast from the other three who are really drawn into the TV. But all of the figures are unique in their own way. Perhaps it's also showing two of your biggest pastimes -- watching TV and messing around on your phone?
In the second photo, I think you might be trying to show that, like a lot of young men, you like to eat! Or it might just be showing the activities in your kitchen from day to day, and the process of searching for food and eating/drinking it.

    3. Really, I don't see any major technical issues. It looks like all the shadows are there and are appropriate. Good job with Photoshopping!

    4. You did a REALLY good job on this assignment, Chad. Both of your images are so natural and believable. Neither of them look staged at all. But if I had to pick which one was your strongest, I would have to say "The Hunger Games" and that's a really close call. While your facial expressions are a blast in the first photo, I think this second one shows more action and that makes it just a bit more interesting to look at. There's a solid sense of motion and I definitely understand that there is a search going on. And the scene is so natural that upon first glance, I would believe that this is just a picture of 4 different guys looking for something to eat. It's great!

  4. 1. Fits criteria.
    2. The first one looks like you watching t.v. The second looks like you eating in the kitchen. Even though they are basic ideas, I think you did a great job switching up the outfits and also the naming of them make it more interesting.
    3. I do not see any technical issues.
    4. I like the first one better, the t.v. one. Mostly because you can see your face in all of them so there is more emotion in it. We can tell that maybe there is something else going on past the camera, that we are unable to see.

  5. 1. Fits the criteria.
    2. You can tell that you are watching TV, or something to entertain yourself because you look engaged. The food one is funny because we all have that struggle to eat, and gathering from the kitchen can get rough.
    3. No technical issues
    4. The first photo is more successful because it shows an element of thought, and I enjoy the natural lighting coming from a window in the right of the frame

  6. 1. Both images follow the critera and are built to match it. He creatively constructed each image with well thought out ideas.
    2. Chad is able to communicate how tv can be a way of consuming time but doesn’t mean it gives you the most entertainment with “Basic Cable Sucks Anyway..” and in “The Hunger Games” how you can search all over your kitchen multiple times but it wont bring you new options.
    3. In basic cable sucs anyways it appears something went missing with the table and is a little blurry, other than that it is well though out and constructed.
    4. I think that the Hunger Games was the most successful because I know what its like to make laps in your kitchen and then just make cereal instead.

  7. 1. Both of the images meet the criteria of the assignment.
    2. In "Basic Cable Sucks Anyway" he shows the zombiefying affects of TV and how even though there may be nothing on we find of interest people watch it anyway. In "The Hunger Games" he shows the mad dash to find food in a house when there seems to be little to eat.
    3. In "Basic Cable Sucks Anyway" there is some noise in the photo and the coffee table only has one corner in focus.
    4. Overall the "Hunger Games" seems to be the most successful. I enjoy the positioning of the Duplicates.

  8. Both images meet the criteria.
I enjoy them both equally and I like the fact that these are things chad does on a daily basis, hourly maybe. I think we can all relate to both images in our own way.

I believe the most successful one is Hunger Games, to me the title just makes the picture and portrays exactly what we were all thinking when looking at the picture.

  9. Both images meet the criteria.
The table in the first photo is a bit blurry under your feet. and I feel like its taking away from the content of your photo.. I love your interactions with the camera in this one. Very relatable!
My favorite of the two is the Hunger games. The name fits well, since hunger games is actually out in theaters. But this gives its the more literal meaning of the "hunger games" I like it!

  10. 1) The images meet the criteria or fulfill the assignment.

    2) "Basic Cable Sucks Anyway" shows boredom when nothing good is on tv or when there's nothing to do. "The Hunger Games" is what happens when you're hungry and have nothing good to eat, yet you try to find something anyways.

    3) In "Basic Cable Sucks Anyway," the table in the front is blurred in some places and not in others. If it was more consistent then it might not be so distracting. Probably a focus problem with the camera.

    4) I think that "The Hunger Games" is the most successful image. The composition and figures are far more interesting and involved in their surroundings. I also like how there's more to look at and gives the viewer a glance into the person's personality.
